							Rick from Robinson HC had called and told me he would be over to our house in 15 minutes. Rick arrived on time. Rick looked at our furnace and in 15 minutes told me the gas valve was stuck closed. We would need a new gas valve unit. Rick gave me the estimate of the cost. I approved. Rick had our furnace back up and running in one hour. Rick was very knowledgeable and experienced in his job! He also gave me a few pointers on filter types. Thank you! 							Call 7am, spoke with a very helpful lady. Made my appt for the same day between 2pm-4pm. Told me the cost and forms of accepted payments. Also told me there was a charge for a credit card use. Technician called 1:50 to say he could be here in 20 minutes. Arrived on time. Made the necessary repair to get my furnace working and all for the price I was told. I am not someone who does reviews but this experience was very impressive and worth a review! Kudos! Will use again and recommend!!

How often should I have preventative maintenance done on my heating and cooling equipment?

Once per year. There are certain components on your heating and cooling equipment that should be checked and cleaned annually to ensure safe, efficient and proper operation. Robinson Heating & Cooling offers preventative maintenance services including our no hassle Energy Savings Agreement program.

Should I have a programmable thermostat and what should I be setting the temperature back to during the hours of setback?

Programmable thermostats are highly recommended to save energy costs. As a rule of thumb, setback should be no more than 5 – 7 degrees because it can cost more in energy to try and recover a large temperature differential. Why do I have condensation on my windows during the winter months?

Condensation can be caused by a few different things. Temperature difference on the glass between the indoor and outdoor will cause condensation.
