Phase out of older refrigerant makes a new air conditioner a good idea

One of the more common issues we see when providing 24-hour air conditioner service involves refrigerant levels. If you have an older air conditioner, chances are it uses a refrigerant known as R22. This type of refrigerant is becoming more expensive, and to a large extent is no longer available, because we no longer can purchase it new.

With this in mind, many of our customers are taking the opportunity to purchase a new, more energy-efficient air conditioner that uses R410A refrigerant. This refrigerant not only performs better than the R22 variety, it does not contribute to depletion of the ozone layer and thus has less environmental impact.
